Growing Coffee the Natural WayCoffee grown under a shade canopy gets the nutrients it needs from the diverse plant-life. The forest is also the winter habitat of the migratory birds we enjoy in the spring and summer. The birds act as nature's pesticide, eating the insects that can destroy the crop. When the rain forest is cut down, the birds leave and the coffee plants need applied fertilizers and chemical pesticides to produce a marketable crop. La Union coffee is produced by people who take their role as stewards of the forest very seriously. Mother Earth Coffee 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6
